Windhaven provides investment management services to individuals, associated trusts, estates, charitable organizations, retirement plans, pension and profit sharing plans, foundations and endowments, banking institutions, pooled investment vehicles, state or municipal government entities and other corporations, business entities or investment advisors.



Windhaven Investment Management, Inc. ("Windhaven") is an SEC- registered investment advisory* firm focusing on Global Tactical Asset Allocation ("GTAA") investment strategies and is a wholly owned subsidiary of The Charles Schwab Corporation ("Schwab"). Windhaven was established by Schwab in November 2010 following Schwab's acquisition of the assets and intellectual property of Windward Investment Management, Inc. ("Windward"), a company registered with the SEC as an investment advisor in April 2000. Prior to that, it was known as Windward Capital, Inc. and was registered with the SEC as an investment advisor as of October 1994.

Windhaven manages three GTAA strategies, Diversified Conservative, Diversified Growth, and Diversified Aggressive. As of 12.31.2017, total firm assets under management is approximately $8.0 billion. The firm has more than 45 employees, most of whom are located in its Boston headquarters.
