William Shaw is Managing Director of Product Management and Marketing at Charles Schwab & Co, Inc. ("Schwab"). He has over 30 years of investment marketing experience in a wide range of disciplines including brand strategy, value proposition positioning, sales system development, advertising, investment education, social media and web development. William’s team provides marketing support for both the Windhaven and ThomasPartner’s Strategies. Previously, William served as Vice President and CMO of Retirement Marketing in the Wealth Management Group at The Hartford. He was Senior Vice President of Marketing and Communications at MFS Investment Management, Vice President of Marketing at Scudder, Stevens & Clark, and Director of Institutional Marketing & Consultant Relations at John Hancock Funds. He has served on the Board of Directors of The Profit Sharing 401(k) Council of America (PSCA) and the Employee Benefits Research Institute in Washington, DC.
He is a frequent conference speaker on investment communication and his work in the investment education arena has been highlighted in several periodicals including The Wall Street Journal, Pension & Investments Magazine, Plan Sponsor and Plan Advisor Magazines.
William earned a B.A. from Suffolk University and an MBA in Marketing from Boston University.
